Job summary

Penn Medicine, part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, is seeking a Part Time Nutrition Tech at the ICN Pennsylvania Hospital. You will assist with the daily operation of the Nutrition Room, handling of breast milk and formula, and ensuring the safety and accuracy of prepared feeds for patients.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year experience in a clinical or retail setting; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle, store and deliver breast milk and infant formula.
• Receive, document and record all breast milk to ensure accurate inventory.
• Follow established handling, preparation and storage procedures for breast milk.
• Verify and prepare breast milk and formula per physician orders.
• Use computerized systems to reconcile orders and prepare labels.
• Maintain sanitary environment in the Milk Room and prep area.
• Deliver prepared products to patient areas and ensure product safety.
