Job summary

Discovery Kidzone in Clancy, MT is hiring a Part-Time Infant Assistant Teacher to join a warm, safe classroom supporting infants. You’ll work alongside a Lead Teacher to nurture babies through daily care, play, and development.

No previous childcare experience is required; training and CDA/Montessori certification support are provided, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.

Qualifications

• No prior childcare experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 16 years old and a positive communicator.
• Willing to obtain Montana licensing training and CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers.
• Build positive, caring relationships with children.
• Engage children through music, books, sensory activities, movement, and play.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Maintain consistent routines for feeding, naps, and classroom activities.
• Prepare bottles and follow feeding, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Change diapers and support age-appropriate toileting routines.
• Closely supervise children and help maintain a safe classroom.
• Document daily activities and share updates with families via the center’s app.

What You’ll Do

As an Infant Assistant Teacher, you’ll help create a loving and engaging classroom where babies can feel safe, develop important skills, and enjoy learning through everyday experiences.

You’ll:

• Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers
• Build positive, caring relationships with children
• Engage children through music, books, sensory activities, movement, and play
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
• Help maintain consistent routines for feeding, naps, and classroom activities
• Prepare bottles and follow proper feeding, food storage, and sanitation procedures
• Change diapers and support age-appropriate toileting routines
• Closely supervise children and help maintain a safe classroom
• Document daily activities and share updates with families through the center’s communication app
• Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of experience to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is:

• At least 16 years old
• Caring, patient, and dependable
• Interested in infant development and early childhood education
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Organized and attentive to children’s needs
• A positive communicator
• Willinçg to learn and complete required Montana licensing training
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Childcare experience is helpful, but not required. We provide training!
