South Burlington School District in Vermont is seeking an Athletic Coach: .5 Assistant Indoor Track & Field to support JV and middle school programs. The role emphasizes coaching, supervision, and administrative tasks within a district athletics context.

This position reports to the Activities/Athletic Director and requires coordinating transportation, practices, and game-day logistics while upholding district policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in organizing and leading a comprehensive sports program is preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and fitness equipment is essential.
• Must have effective organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the administrative duties for the assigned sport by scheduling and coordinating transportation to tournaments and events.
• Assists with preparations of scheduled practices and events and coordinates facility use.
• Ensures proper documentation for health certifications, parent consent, and eligibility.
• Maintains equipment, storage areas, and facilities, and participates in budget preparation information.
• Directs student managers, assistants, and statisticians and supervises participants during transport, in locker rooms, and at events.
