Job summary

PathPoint in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independently in their homes. You will teach essential living skills, from cooking and budgeting to scheduling medical appointments, with a focus on person-centered goals.

This role offers a flexible schedule, 20-25 hours per week, hourly pay starting at $23.25 with a range of $22.09–$24.41.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and at least 5 years of driving experience.
• Culturally aware and able to collaborate with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with individuals one-on-one in their homes.
• Share personal hobbies with individuals if aligned with goals and interests.
• Document hours of service and progress toward established goals.
• Flexible scheduling options including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
