Job summary

A Bright Future, Inc. is seeking part-time Community Living Instructors (CLIs) to support individuals with disabilities in Oakland, Berkeley, and Brentwood. Roles include teaching independent living skills, daily routines, and ensuring safety in home and community settings.

Positions offer paid training, no-experience options for some roles, and ongoing supervision. Must have CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, valid drug screening, TB test, and DOJ fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Drug screening required
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Negative TB test
• DOJ fingerprint clearance prior to employment
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in home and community settings
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support community integration, appointments, errands, and recreational activities
• Encourage independence, communication, and social development
• Monitor safety and follow individualized support plans
• Complete daily documentation and communicate with supervisors as needed
