Job summary

Embark Hurricane is seeking a skilled cook to independently prepare meals for short shifts in a residential treatment setting for adolescent clients and staff. We offer 5- or 8-hour shifts daily, with a focus on safety, sanitation, and adaptable menus to meet dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of cooking experience.
• Food Handler's Permit and valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
• Ability to adapt to special dietary needs of clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the duration of your shift, including breakfast, lunch, or dinner for clients and staff.
• Prepare mid-meal snacks, ensuring food is always readily available.
• Assist in food preparation and storage.
• Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
• Prepare food ahead of time for the following day's menu.
