Job summary

Lap of Love is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for in-home hospice care in Hartford, New Haven, and surrounding CT areas. This mobile role lets you practice compassionate medicine in clients' homes with a balanced schedule and supportive team.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required and licensure in good standing.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance for heavier lifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Practice veterinary medicine independently in clients' homes.
• Coordinate with Lap of Love support team for scheduling and patient care.
• Deliver compassionate communication with pet families during difficult moments.

*Veterinarian Salary Range

Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in Hartford, New Haven, Bristol, Southington, West Hartford, Wallingford, CT and surrounding areas, offering a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidateswill be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
