Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Hartford, New Haven, Bristol, Southington, West Hartford, Wallingford, and surrounding CT areas. This mobile role focuses on hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes, with ongoing mentorship and support.

Flexible 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day schedules are available, with compensation ranging from $107,500 for 3-day to $130,000 for 5-day positions, plus bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets in clients' homes.
• Practice medicine with purpose while maintaining work‑life balance.
• Join a community of veterinarians and support staff delivering in‑home care.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Hartford, New Haven, Bristol, Southington, West Hartford, Wallingford, CT and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $130,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
