Job summary

Sensory Innovation Therapies, LLC seeks a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist in-clinic, home, and school settings for children with diverse learning needs.

We offer a part-time, W-2 position with flexibility in scheduling, weekly supervision to support clinical development, travel reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. Florida PTA license and driver's license required.

Qualifications

• PTA: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• PT: Doctorate in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• Current Florida Physical Therapy/ PTA license.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Criminal record clearance or exemption.
• Experience working with children or clients with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and manages own caseload under supervision in-clinic.
• Completes daily treatment notes and supports evaluations and plan of care.
• Implements therapy models and creates activities to support participation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care and manages own caseload under the supervision of a physical therapist in-clinic.
• Completes daily treatment notes, collaborates with the supervising physical therapist to support initial and annual evaluations, supports plan of care documents, and other documentation as needed within the required time frame.
• PT: Completes initial and annual evaluations and plan of cares
• Implements theories of practice models supporting Sensory Innovation Therapies’ therapeutic model.
• Creates innovative treatments to support the child’s engagement and participation in meaningful occupations.
• Participates in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including emails, phone calls and face-to-face discussions, as needed.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.
• Creates visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals.
• Enhance client engagement in health, well-being, and life quality through performance skills support
• Participates in supervision meetings to support clinical development.
• Participate in all required company orientation, professional development and ongoing trainings as required.
• Actively participates in staff meetings and team meetings, as needed.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Moderate physical effort (lift/carry/push up to 25 lbs), endurance, and mobility to play with children.

Requirements:

• PTA: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• PT: Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, or equivalent
• Current Florida Physical Therapy/ PTA license
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Criminal record clearance, or formal exemption
• Experience working with children or clients with special needs
