Job summary

Northampton Community College invites applicants for credit, part-time Adjunct faculty positions in HVAC/R. In this role you will instruct and facilitate HVAC/R learning in the classroom and lab environment, with possible onsite industry training.

Responsibilities include planning instruction from the syllabus, collaborating on curriculum, supervising lab activities, evaluating student work, and staying current with industry developments.

Qualifications

• Technical Associates Degree or higher preferred; industry experience considered.
• Minimum of five years in HVAC/R industry.
• EPA Section 608 Certification - Types I & II (Universal preferred).
• RSES or NATE industry certifications preferred.
• No teaching experience required but strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Moderate computer and technology skills to support administrative and instructional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus and outline (provided).
• Collaborate with program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements.
• Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training.
• Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required.
• Stay current with industry developments and relay these changes to students as applicable.
