Job summary

Palomar College seeks part-time instructors in the Trade and Industry Department to teach Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes at the San Marcos campus or off-campus locations, including distance education.

Selected candidates must be willing to teach dual enrollment courses for high school partners. A EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is required; candidates may hold other credentials as outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience.
• Any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.
• A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of the qualifications in either 1) or 2). You must attach the Application for Equivalency form if you do not possess the specific minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating; may teach any curriculum approved within AC, Refrigeration and Heating.
• Willing to teach dual enrollment courses for the discipline at a high school within the District.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher + 2 years professional experience

Associate degree + 6 years professional experience

Education and experience equivalent to 1) or 2) above
