Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Part-Time HVAC Installer-Construction for a pilot program in Wisconsin. You will read blueprints, perform rough-in and finish work on new builds, and collaborate with the project team to ensure safe, code-compliant installations.

This role offers two part-time schedules with predictable hours and potential higher pay for skilled workers. Applicants with HVAC/construction site experience and a high school diploma are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC cert/apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven HVAC installer/technician experience on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components and operation.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Part- Time HVAC Installer-Construction (Pilot Program)

Responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.

Part-Time Schedule:

• Choose from one of two part-time options:
  
  
  
  • Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30AM-Noon (22 hours per week) OR,
  
  
  • Mondays through Thursdays from 1PM-5PM (16 hours per week).
