At JAX Mercantile Co., we are passionate about serving our customers. Join our local, family and employee-owned company as a Sales Associate in our JAX Outdoor Gear location in Fort Collins, CO. Make someone's day by sharing your enthusiasm and excitement for equipment and tools used for hunting and archery with our customers at JAX!

Our Hunting Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation. All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, engaging with people and sharing excitement about our store. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, assisting the Department Manager, and providing customer feedback to Department Managers and the Buyers' Team so our stores remain stocked with only the best products our customers have come to expect from JAX. Additional tasks may include:

• Accurately processing payments
• Helping with visual merchandising
• Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
• Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
• Keeping inventory secure and properly displayed
• Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
• Assisting in loss prevention efforts
• Communicating professionally
• Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
• Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
• Assisting in inventory responsibilities

Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:

• Must be willing to complete required training and background check for firearms sales
• Previous knowledge or experience with brands of hunting tools and equipment carried by JAX preferred
• Experience with firearm sales preferred
• Cashiering experience desired
• Computer proficiency required
• Works well with others

• Engaging and positive
• Attention to detail

Schedule Requirements:

• Must have availability on the weekend, preferably both weekend days
• Flexible weekday availability required

Pay Range: $14.81 - $16.00

Positions: 2 Part Time positions available (Full Time position is on a separate job post)
