The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Candidates in this pool remain active for two years; after two years they will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

Position Information
Job Title: Part Time – Human Services Instructor
Location: Woodland Community College – Woodland, CA
Job Description
- Teach the range of Human Services courses in the Yuba Community College District curriculum.
- Prepare course syllabi and outlines.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the human services curriculum, including transfer/articulation agreements and assessment of SLOs.
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments primarily at Yuba College.
- Work cooperatively with staff in related disciplines.
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide committees and meetings.
- Participate in the shared‑governance process.
- Assist with developing program reviews, annual updates, and other reports for the YCCD Continuous Quality Improvement Model.
- Attend required meetings and maintain positive relationships with the Alcohol and Drug Studies and Human Services Communities and Advisory Committees.
- Assist with supervision of student interns and intern sites as needed.
- Attend relevant college meetings pertaining to the Human Services/Addiction Studies program.
Essential Duties
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Counseling Psychology; OR a California Community College life credential in one of the above areas.
- Meet the minimum qualifications specified by YCCD by the application filing date.
- Alternatively, obtain an equivalency determination from the District before the recruitment announcement’s publication.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience indicating the ability to teach a broad range of human services courses.
- Minimum two years of field work or direct service provision experience.
Physical Demands
Range/Step: Class I – VII (based on degree and teaching experience).
Salary Range
YCAFT Salary Schedule: 2024‑2027 YC AFT Contract.

Part‑time positions (less than .60 FTE) are not entitled to any District–paid fringe benefits.
