For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see .** **JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a candidate for a PT Human Research Technologist to explain study aspects and procedures, maintain lab equipment, apply electrodes and monitor overnight sleep studies.As a sleep technician, the position will be accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings (including consecutive night studies) for clinical trials in human subjects; monitor and track research study files to ensure quality control of data collected.Work Hours: 3rd shift, including some weekends. This position is **up to 40 hours a we**ek **for a maximum assignment length of 16 weeks**. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:* Accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings; monitor and track research studies to ensure quality control.* Perform PSGs and participate in the collection of Actigraphy, and other research participant data.* Maintain supplies for sleep laboratory as well as recording equipment to ensure it is in working order at all times for research studies.* Collect and analyze biological samples (saliva, urine)* Participate in aspects of sleep data management for assigned projects including: update and maintain databases; resolve problem data issues; track data collection forms, and other project materials; perform verification procedures.* Collaborate with project coordinators, clinical investigators, clinical personnel, and other data management personnel to plan and implement sleep data management tasks for research projects.**Work Hours**: Part time, up to 40 hours per week, for 16 weeks. PRN hours, working 3rd shift, including weekends, 8:30 pm-8:30 amQualifications: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) strongly preferred.
