Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
• 3 years of adult education or HSE experience.
• Ability to teach GED subjects (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies).
• Knowledge of GED exam and requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with students, faculty, staff, and employees.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates subject matter knowledge and provides learning materials and expertise in assigned subject(s).
• Evaluates students’ performance and provides timely feedback to guide learning and success.
• Provides direct group instruction and tutoring for GED prep and post-secondary pathways.
• Responsible for curriculum assessment and development for GED subjects.
• Works with Testing Center to schedule GED exams and assists students with postsecondary plans.
• Builds curriculum for GED content delivered in virtual and onsite formats.
• Participates in HSE meetings with EOCs and community organizations.
• Uses effective communication strategies with stakeholders about the HSE program.
