Job summary

Park Avenue Center provides evidence-based, gender-specific drug and alcohol treatment in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Housing Support Staff role oversees residence safety, assists residents with medication self-administration, and coordinates with the clinical team to ensure quality care and outcomes.

The position is part-time with evening hours, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification in First Aid/CPR/AED (or the ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
• Must meet staff training requirements including attending an off-site Medication Administration Course.
• Ability to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification and maintain certification.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be free of problematic substance use for at least 90 days preceding hire and remain free throughout employment.
• Part-time positions are available; starts at $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Hold clients accountable for following housing rules.
• Perform daily walk-throughs of assigned properties.
• Inspect properties for cleanliness and upkeep; report issues to maintenance as needed.
• Serve as a resource for clients and maintain order during the scheduled shift.
• Report to clinical staff regarding incidents involving clients.
• Responsible for supervised self-administration of medications and accurate documentation.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and ethical demeanor with clients and within the community.
