Job summary

Cypress-Woods-Care-Center is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Part‑Time Housekeeper to join our team. You will maintain clean, safe spaces for residents, staff, and visitors, following safety protocols and operating cleaning equipment as directed.

A high school diploma is preferred; prior healthcare housekeeping is a plus. The schedule is 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with specific days to be discussed. We value teamwork, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedures and instructions.
• Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to varied tasks.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
