Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a part-time Housekeeper/Laundry Worker for Gladman Mental Health Rehabilitation Center in Oakland, CA. The role covers cleaning and laundry services with PM shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays every other week.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in a motel, hotel or health care setting is required.
• High School graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent is also required.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Ability to read, write and speak English is crucial.
• Willingness to work with mentally impaired adults.
• Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive DOJ clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning and laundry services for facility areas.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks as described (sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing).
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with resident rooms, dayrooms and common areas.
• Support team with assignments and maintain reliability and attendance.
