Jesuit Retreat Center (JRC) is looking for a part-time housekeeper for approximately 10 - 20 hours per week. The duties general cleaning and assisting with room turnover between groups and retreats.

Duties include:

• Vacuum rooms and hallways
• Sweep and mop floors
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment
• Wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
• Clean pantry and coffee stations and replenish supplies.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms facilities and fixtures and replenish supplies in restrooms
• Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles
• Become familiar with the proper use of all cleaning equipment and supplies
• Identify and report housekeeping needs
• Respond to special requests as needed

Other Requirements

• Available to work 2-3 days week, ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday and occasional weekend day.
• Work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Communicate clearly and openly with other JRC staff
• Establish and maintain welcoming attitudes with guests and retreat tenants

This is a part-time position, on-site at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Parma. Starting pay is $14 - $15 per hour. Work shift is usually morning until noon. Benefits include a flexible schedule, and an employer funded 403(b) program. One to two years related experience in housekeeping is preferred. JRC is the first and longest continuing place in the United States providing retreats for the laity.
