Job Summary

The Housekeeper performs skilled and routine maintenance and tasks necessary to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the unit.

Compensation: 18.00 USD Hourly

Job Description

Essential Functions

1. Clean assigned areas as directed by management and in compliance with the company's "green" initiatives.
2. Change linens and make beds.
3. Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds.
4. Pull trash from receptacles, replace trash bags as needed, and clear trash from tables and floors/grounds.
5. Clean and vacuum under beds, desks, gaming tables, and behind nightstands.
6. Check and replace missing items in rooms, such as soaps, shampoos, hangers, clocks, and brochures.
7. Ensure bathrooms are spot, mold, mildew, and dust free; clean bathtubs, sinks, toilets, and bathroom fixtures.
8. Sweep and mop bathroom floors.
9. Dust lights, sconces, mirrors, and lampshades.
10. Perform laundry duties as assigned.
11. Report quality control issues or repairs to supervisor.
12. Maintain safety awareness and report issues immediately.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits and safety awareness.
• Excellent customer service skills; proactive assistance to customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate effectively with management.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Frequent movement on foot, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and climbing stairs.
• Ability to work in temperature extremes, wet and slippery conditions, and damp environments.
• Ability to read and write in English, understand speech, and communicate clearly.
• Presence at the job site is essential.

Equipment Used

• Rolling cart, industrial washer and dryer, cleaning supplies.
