Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in Oceanside, CA is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to join our mobile hospice team. This role emphasizes balance, flexibility, and meaningful end-of-life care for pets, with 2-5 day per week schedules and un-rushed appointments.

We offer onboarding, mentorship, and a 24/7 support network, plus a base salary of $55,000 annually with bonus opportunities. Both part-time and full-time options are available to fit your life.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree completed.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Weekend availability required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinary care.
• Communicate clearly with pet families and coordinate care plans.
• Participate in onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in the Oceanside, CA area, offering a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request
  

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver\'s license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
