Job summary

La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a part-time Host to welcome guests, seat them, and ensure a friendly, attentive dining room experience. Beginners are welcome, with some experience preferred, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers learning opportunities within a hospitality-focused property, with potential involvement in service staff coordination and dining room

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Ability to read and speak English
Must complete Alcohol Awareness Training
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of POS system

Responsibilities

Welcomes each guest with a friendly greeting and escorts to their table
Seats guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following check procedures
Assigns opening/closing side duties and supervises side work
Assists with side work and serving staff with bussing tables and taking orders
Maintains reservation book and notes reservations and special requests
Retains knowledge of all menu items, prices and service procedures
Ensures standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas
Remains visible on dining room floor and accessible to guests and staff
Checks tables for proper settings before service
Communicates guest requests to the department manager
Performs safe work practices and maintains regular attendance
Performs other duties as required by supervisor
