Join to apply for the Part Time - Host - Ole Red Orlando role at Ryman Hospitality Properties

Meet, greet, and seat guests with a positive, friendly, helpful attitude, providing exceptional service to all.

Serve as a general source of information to all guests entering the restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination. Work with a team to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet all guests promptly and courteously in a professional manner.
  • Control flow of guests coming into the restaurant and those waiting for a table. Direct guests to appropriate locations to wait when needed. Estimate and quote accurate wait times for tables.
  • Seat guests at a pace maximizing service efficiency and overall operations performance.
  • Show guests to tables, place menus on the table, and wait for guests to be seated before leaving the table.
  • Answer phones and input reservations into OpenTable, collecting relevant guest information.
  • Thank each guest for visiting the restaurant and invite their return in a friendly and sincere manner. Communicate any guest concerns/complaints to management.
  • Communicate ongoing logistics such as wait times, parties of eight or more, and special events to hosts, kitchen, and venue leadership.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and perform opening, running, and closing duties.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment during and after shifts, following sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Experience in restaurant operations preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Diplomacy, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle volatile situations tactfully.
Licenses / Certifications
  • State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire.
