Job summary

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a daytime-only breakfast and brunch cafe where you never work evenings. We offer competitive pay based on experience, excellent training, and advancement opportunities.

As a Host, you will greet guests, coordinate with bartenders and servers, and ensure a superb dining experience. Primary duties include timely service, handling POS transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and calmly resolving any guest concerns.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read menu items and speak English.
• Walk or stand most of the 4-6 hour shift.
• Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company-approved uniform.
• Must be able to operate POS system and make credit card transactions accurately.
• Professional phone skills and ability to work in a loud environment.

Summary of Host Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to ensure exemplary service in an efficient manner. Work closely with Bartender, Server Assistant, and Servers to ensure guests receive superb service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner with a sense of urgency.
• Promptly greet Guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ensure guests' expectations have been met and naturally exceeded. Professionally resolve service issues.
• Uphold and maintain superior quality customer service and hospitality.
• Keep immediate supervisor informed of significant issues and take prompt corrective action.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working atmosphere.
• Work as a team to ensure all facets of the restaurant are kept clean, safe, and organized.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company-approved uniform.
• Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer system, make changes correctly, and make credit card transactions accurately.
• Walk or stand most of the 4-6 hour shift.
• Must be able to read menu items and speak English.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and perform cleaning duties.
• Professional phone skills. Must be able to hear well with loud background noise, in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests.
• Must be able to calmly respond to agitated guests and notify a Manager immediately if the matter cannot be corrected in a timely manner.
• Must be able to clearly communicate guest's needs to other employees including bussers, servers, and Manager.
