Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Part-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, MS. The positions cover 1st-3rd shifts with hourly pay and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas; maintaining cleanliness and safety standards on hospital premises; ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs; post-offer medical and background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience in janitorial industry a plus.
• Medical cleaning a plus.
• Post-offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and other areas.
• Sweeps and vacuums floors; dusts furniture and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills.
• Transports trash to disposal area; replenishes bathroom supplies.

Xanitos is hiring Part-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for 1st, 2nd, Mid, & 3rd Shift at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, MS.

• Hourly Pay Rate: $14.74
• Available Shift Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Mid Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Mid Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• $1,000 Sign-on Bonus distributed into three installments

Job Overview

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Xanitos may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities, client requirements and applicable industry standards.

Daily Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebasket and Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Job Qualifications

• Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
• Medical cleaning a plus
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
