Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I for a part-time schedule (32 hours/week) on-site. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and related areas, stock paper products, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

You will use approved cleaning methods and UV light technology for terminal cleaning, follow infection control guidelines, and support other services as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant environmental services experience preferred.
• Experience with hospital cleaning protocols is a plus.
• Experience using UV light disinfection equipment is desirable.
• Infection control practices and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of patient rooms, supplying rooms with paper products, and discharge room cleaning.
• Daily cleaning of support service areas as assigned.
• Use cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools safely and effectively.
• Provides terminal cleaning using UV light technology.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a positive image of the hospital.
• Maintains high QA scores and supports other areas as needed.
• Follows written and verbal instructions and completes other duties as assigned.
