Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a Diet Technician (Part-Time) to join our Nutrition Team at Northern Lights Mercy Hospital in Portland, ME. You will assist the Dietitian with data collection, nutrition screening, and menu planning, while helping patients with menu selections.

Preferred candidates are registered with the CDR or eligible as a NDTR, with at least one year of hospital experience. This role supports regulatory compliance and ongoing quality improvement within a compassionate healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science required.
• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred or eligible NDTR.
• One year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dietitian with patient data collection and nutrition screening.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections.
• Follow Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures.
• Compliance with federal, state, and accrediting standards; HIPAA and patient rights policies.
• Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as applicable.
• Participate in patient satisfaction programs and quality improvement initiatives.
