Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly, compassionate team member to join the hospital cafeteria kitchen. Wage: $15/hour. Part-time position with a day shift. Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean kitchen, sanitizing cookware, stocking inventories, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed throughout the shift. Applicants must be at least 18 and able to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria.
• Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner.
• Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
• Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
• Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
• Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
• Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas.
• Monitor and empty trash cans.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
