Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking a compassionate Hospice RN for a part-time role in Smithfield, Virginia. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver end-of-life care with dignity and comfort.

You will provide symptom management, caregiver education, and ensure timely documentation and compliance with regulatory standards. A Virginia RN license and CPR/BLS are required, and a valid driver's license is needed to travel as part of the role.

Qualifications

RN required with Virginialicensure
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
CPR/BLS certification within 30 days
Valid driver's license and ability to drive RHS business 25%+ of the time
Acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
Develop initial and ongoing assessments of client needs and adapt care accordingly.
Document clinical notes promptly to ensure timely billing and care coordination.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about disease progression and care needs.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to plan and adjust the level of care.
