Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to provide end-of-life care in Smithfield, VA. You will partner with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized hospice care, manage symptoms, and educate caregivers in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Virginia is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients on an intermittent visiting basis.
• Develop initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patient needs including terminal diagnosis impact.
• Manage patient symptoms and provide end-of-life care; educate caregivers.
