Job summary

St. Matthew Catholic School in Forestville, CT, is seeking a part-time Honors Math teacher to instruct 6th-8th grade math and 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th grade Algebra. The schedule runs 7:20am - 11:00am, four days per week, starting January 2, 2026.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mathematics or related field, with teaching certification for middle school math; a Master’s degree is a plus. Strong classroom management and tech-enabled instruction are valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Certification: Valid state teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics for middle school grades.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics is preferred.
