Job summary

Northern Kentucky University’s Honors College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach honors courses. These positions report to the Associate Dean and provide engaging learning experiences for first‑year students.

Responsibilities include teaching 1–3 classes (three to nine hours) per semester, holding office hours, and aligning coursework with program outcomes. A Master’s or PhD is preferred, with demonstrated teaching effectiveness in writing/reading.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience teaching writing/reading and working with first‑year students.
• Experience with interdisciplinary research and learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach between three and nine hours (1–3 classes) of college writing and/or reading per semester.
• Provide support to students through office hours.
