Job summary

Louisiana HomeCare, a member of the Optum family of businesses and part of LHC Group, is seeking a Part Time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR/L) to support home health patients. You will assess and evaluate functional status, ADLs, and home safety as part of the plan of care, coordinating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• CPR certification (preferred) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT services within the scope of practice and plan of care.
• Evaluates functional status and CMS-related documentation.
• Records and reports patient responses to treatment to supervisors and physicians.
• Conducts patient assessments of functional ability.
• Functions with sensitivity to diverse patient needs in home settings.
