Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) as directed.
  • Assist with toileting needs and basic health management, including catheter and G-tube care.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishes.
  • Practice infection control and adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Communicate changes in client conditions to the RN and participate in care planning.
  • Provide respectful emotional support, ensuring a positive and professional interaction with clients and families.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • CNA certification in good standing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance required.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to client safety and well-being.
