Qualifications
- Must have valid driver's license
- Auto insurance required
- Reliable transportation to clients' homes
- Part-time availability and weekend shift flexibility
Responsibilities
- Safely assist clients with transfers, mobility and movement through the home
- Utilize a gait belt to ensure safe transfers as per care plan
- Provide personal care tasks including showering, toileting, incontinence, grooming and hygiene
- Prepare balanced meals and snacks based on individual dietary needs
- Encourage independence by performing tasks with clients rather than doing everything for them
- Support exercise or therapy plans and encourage adherence
- Offer dementia-care support by communicating with patience and respect
- Assist with errands, shopping and transportation when required
- Maintain a clean, comfortable home environment including light housekeeping and laundry
