Job summary

Visiting Angels of West Springfield in South Hadley is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist an 87-year-old client, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am–3:00 pm, 25 hours per week. You will provide companionship, medication reminders, meal prep and personal care, helping him stay active with walker-assisted walks.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of elder care experience or certification.
Transfer and male personal care experience.
At least 2 professional work references.
Willing to submit to background checks.
2 forms of acceptable identification.
Reliable transportation.
Strong spoken, written and understanding of English.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and mobility support to client.
Perform medication reminders and meal preparation.
Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
Encourage safe exercise suitable for walker use.
Maintain daily logs and communicate with family.
