Job summary

Colorado Eagles is seeking a part-time, seasonal Off-Ice Official to record, time, and report events for home games in the AHL. This role ensures the game clock and scoring data are accurate and compliant with league rules, across preseason, regular season, and postseason games.

You will operate the game clock, manage penalty times, and serve as official scorer, with duties including real-time data entry and goal review support.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hockey rules and game flow.
• Ability to concentrate and record information accurately under time pressure.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn league scoring software.
• Clear verbal communication skills for headset or radio communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate the game clock as game timekeeper.
• Record penalty times and notify players when they may return.
• Open/close penalty box doors and manage penalties.
• Record goals, assists, and penalties on the official report.
• Enter shots, faceoffs, and events into the scoring system in real-time.
• Assist with goal review and communicate with on-ice officials.
• Coordinate commercial timeouts with broadcasters and officials.
• Attend pre-game crew briefing and arrive early.
• Complete and submit all game reports.
