Job summary

Integratedcooling in Minnesota is seeking a Part Time Hockey Development Instructor/Coach to work with individual players on ice and off ice. This role is focused on developing skills and concepts rather than team coaching.

Candidates should have played or coached at the HS Varsity level or higher, and be able to operate in the MN metro area. You must currently be able to work in the USA; coaching with integrity and clear feedback is essential.

Qualifications

• Not a team coaching position; focus on individual players' skills and concepts.
• HS Varsity level or equivalent coaching experience preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead coach on the ice and support on-ice setup and takedown.
• Provide proper and in-depth feedback and instruction to players.
• Demonstrate drills or skills at the appropriate level.
• Follow the specific practice plan to ensure focus areas are practiced adequately.
• Maintain the integrity of the program by delivering high-quality coaching and skill development.
• Coach skills development such as speed, strength, skating stride, and stick handling/shooting.
• Help with on-ice setup and takedown.
• Must currently be able to work in the USA.

Job description

Part Time Hockey Development Instructor/Coach:

In charge of training hockey players with a wide range of ages in an on-ice and off-ice setting. This is NOT a team coaching position. This position you are working on individual players skills and concepts.

If you haven't played or coached at the HS Varsity level or its equivalent no need to apply for this.

Whether you're still playing competitive hockey or you are a working professional in another industry but looking to help coach and develop the next generation. This position is a great way for someone who has played or coached hockey at the HS Varsity level or above to give back and get on the ice and coach players in the MN metro area.

Statement of Job Purposes and Objectives:

Responsible for providing high quality coaching and skill instruction while building relationships with the players. This position you are a direct report to the MAP/FHIT instructors as well as a role model to our members.

Major Job Duties:

• Responsible for assisting the lead coach on the ice.
• Give proper and in-depth feedback and instruction to the players you are working with.
• Ability to demonstrate drills or skills at the appropriate level.
• Follow the specific practice plan to ensure that each focus during a practice is given enough time for the athlete to apply what has been taught.
• Maintain the integrity of the program by providing a high level of coaching and skill development.
• Ability to coach skill development such as speed and strength, skating stride, and stick handling/shooting technique.
• Help with on ice setup and take down.
• You must currently be able to work in the USA
