State of Georgia’s Adjunct Instructor, History position invites you to join a team that serves millions of Georgians. This part-time role involves teaching on-campus and online classes, with compensation commensurate with education and experience.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in History (or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours in History) and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication. Experience with Blackboard LMS and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History from a regionally accredited college or university or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 semester or 30 quarter graduate hours in History from an accredited college or university.
• Prior teaching or training experience at the postsecondary level is preferred.
• Experience with Blackboard Learning LMS and MSOffice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach on-campus and/or online classes in History.
• Under supervision, prepare lesson plans, develop curriculum, course outlines, syllabi, goals and objectives; evaluate progress and maintain documentation.
• Attend professional development and assist with orientations, recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts; may participate in committees and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
