Cal State East Bay invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer Pool in the History and Global Cultures Department to support Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 teaching across Anthropology, History, Global Studies and History-Social Science programs. Courses may be in person on the Hayward campus, hybrid, or online. Required: M.A.

or M.S. in History or Anthropology; ABD or Ph.D. in related fields and university teaching experience.

Qualifications

• MA or MS in History, Anthropology, or related field required; ABD or PhD in Anthropology or History, or related fields, and university teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success and innovative teaching, including advanced experience and/or professional development involving Canvas LMS.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assignments may be in several programs or levels, including lower- and upper-division or graduate courses in diverse historical and anthropological subjects; advanced methods and research skills courses; applied or career fields in public history, cultural resource management, and teaching; and advising or skills labs for student success.
