Responsibilities

• Lead percussion sectionals and rehearsals for Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.
• Create, administer and evaluate percussion tests.
• Assign appropriate percussion parts for concert repertoire.
• Select and prepare chamber ensemble music for percussion students.
• Teach and reinforce proper playing technique across percussion instruments.
• Instruct students on care, storage, and maintenance of percussion equipment.
• Support individual and group growth goals as outlined by the Band Director.
• Collaborate with the Band Director on repertoire planning and pedagogy.
• Attend performances, festivals and special events when possible.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor.
