Job summary

Alpine School District seeks a dedicated Hall Monitor at Lehi High School to support student attendance, safety, and classroom operations. The role involves patrolling hallways, supervising areas before/after school and during lunch, and building positive relationships with students throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs of students.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
• Assists data collection under the direction of the assigned teacher for the purpose of monitoring student progress.
• Assists students with self‑care activities for the purpose of maintaining students' personal hygiene.
• Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
• Communicates with supervising instructional staff for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP and/or 504 objectives.
• Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, behavioral plans identified in student IEPs for the purpose of reinforcing learning concepts.
• Maintains instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; meeting mandated requirements.
• Monitors students during assigned periods in a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Provides, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instruction to students in a variety of activities for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives; and ensuring student success.
• Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel.
• Supervises and escorts kids to/from classes for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
