Job summary

St. Michael-Albertville School District High School in Saint Michael, Minnesota seeks a Part-Time Long-Term Substitute English teacher for a 0.75 FTE schedule, starting October 19, 2026.

You will plan engaging lessons, teach students with varied abilities, assess learning, track data, and maintain accurate records while communicating with students, parents and school stakeholders. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.
• High School English teaching degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons and instruct students with a wide range of abilities.
• Assess student learning and collect/analyze data to plan instruction.
• Create an engaging and respectful classroom environment and communicate with students, parents and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and supervise students as needed.
• Participate in school improvement initiatives and pursue professional development.
