Job summary

Together We Can Staffing Agenc is seeking a Part-Time Home Health Aide for a Day shift (7am to 3pm) in New York. You will support residents with daily care, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and mobility, and assist with meal service in a residential setting.

Required NYS HHA Certification with CPR preferred, and 3 years of senior-care experience (dementia experience preferred). The role emphasizes patient satisfaction and safety in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS HHA Certification.
• CPR certification preferred.
• 3 years experience working with a senior population or dementia/cognitive deficits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to requests for assistance from residents.
• Assists with AM/PM care as required (skin care, nail care, hair care, mouth care, dressing, and hygiene).
• Assists with bathing, showers, and bed bath as per schedule or resident request.
• Assists with toileting as required.
• Assists with eyeglasses/hearing aids/dentures as required.
• Transports residents as assigned and assists with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Observes residents for health changes and reports to nurse.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner.
• Keeps residents’ areas tidy and performs light housekeeping.
• Follows all safety-related procedures.
• Performs hourly resident checks.
• Facilitates activities and prescribed exercises.
• Assists with meal service and dining area cleanup.
• Assists with putting away resident's personal laundry.
• Orders supplies and restocks as needed.
