Job summary

University of Northern Colorado seeks a University Aide to operate the heat plant. This temporary role offers 16–24 hours per week with an hourly rate of $22–$25, reporting to the Utility Production department in Greeley, Colorado.

You will visually inspect boilers and associated equipment, monitor readings hourly, and perform water treatment and routine maintenance to ensure reliable operation of the heat plant.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect, monitor and record boiler, pumps and air compressors readings hourly.
• Water chemical analysis and treatment for boilers and water systems; adjust treatment to maintain proper chemical balance.
• Maintain clean environment for proper function of equipment and computers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a daily and monthly basis depending on function and use.
