JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education is seeking applications from qualified individuals interested in remotely teaching non-credit healthcare classes online. Courses are delivered live via Zoom, typically during evenings or weekends, providing flexibility for both instructors and adult learners.
We are currently looking for instructors to teach in the following program areas:
Nursing Home Administration (NHA)
Personal Care Home Administration (PCHA)
Assisted Living Administration
Other related healthcare continuing education topics
Develop, organize, and deliver course content via Zoom
Engage adult learners through interactive virtual instruction
Adapt course materials to suit diverse adult learning styles
Facilitate discussions, group activities, and case study reviews
Provide timely responses to student questions and feedback
Maintain clear communication with Continuing Education staff
Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred
Relevant healthcare industry experience or licensure (e.g., NHA, PCHA) strongly preferred
Prior experience teaching or training adult learners, especially in a virtual setting, preferred
Must be comfortable using Zoom and online teaching tools
Compensation is based on an hourly instructional rate
