Job summary

Physicians East, P.A. in Greenville, NC seeks a part-time Facility Services staffer to clean, maintain and restore floor surfaces in a professional medical office environment. The role requires stamina, standing, and the ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and operate floor equipment to keep areas sanitized to high standards.

Evening shift is Monday–Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with some weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care; ability to strip, refinish and burnish floors.
• Healthcare cleaning experience and knowledge of OSHA practices and infection control preferred.
• Ability to schedule cleaning to meet patient and staff needs.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must display confidentiality, integrity and initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all floor areas, top scrubbing, refinishing floor areas in sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Spot removal from carpets, furniture, uses bonnet and/or extraction methods when carpet cleaning, assist with trash pickup.
• Operates auto scrubbers, burnishers, scrubbers, wet-pickup vacuum.
• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas and other areas, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming.
• Moving furniture before and after floor maintenance projects.
• Exact measurement of floor chemicals and use of chemical dispensing units.
• Labeling chemicals correctly.
• Cleaning, maintaining and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
• Keeping inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor and following policies.
