Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 1–2 years healthcare experience required, or HS diploma/GED with 5+ years healthcare experience.
• Medical billing or insurance authorization experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication required.

Responsibilities

• Authorize admissions and denials to ensure proper authorization for inpatient hospital stays.
• Identify, report, and help resolve issues in authorization and denial processes.
• Support the Case Management Utilization Coordinator team with data, reports, and analytics.
• Develop strategies to optimize authorization and denial workflows to protect hospital revenue integrity.
