Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a Health Fitness Professional to join the fitness team at our corporate client site in North Chicago, IL. This part-time opportunity offers approximately 9 hours per week and is ideal for a passionate fitness professional who enjoys helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a fitness related field or 2+ years of industry experience plus a Group Fitness and/or Personal Trainer certification from a HealthFitness approved provider.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification from recognized organizations required prior to start date.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Supervises facility; interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
• Provides individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.
• Coordinates and leads HealthFitness programs and promotions.
• Conducts fitness testing and assessments and designs individualized programs to meet participants’ interests, abilities and goals.
• Researches health & fitness topics and conducts health education seminars.
